Re: Ability to warp audio in Simpler / Sampler
Why not warp it and then add it to the simpler/sampler??

You just don't get it man.IMPULSOUND wrote:Why not warp it and then add it to the simpler/sampler??

Thats destructive editing... if you want to do any additional warping you have to go back to the original cut, re-warp it the way you need then re-add it into the simpler/sampler.
Now consider you have a phrase sample cut up in 30+ parts in the sampler and you want to change the warping on all of them.... not a chance.

+1
Think of a big live set for live usage. Can't mix audio and MIDI within the same track.
So Audio Loops need to be triggered from MIDI instruments.
Using Reaktor, Kontakt or M4L to keep loops timestreched with the current BPM is a bit tedious.
And it's there already in Impulse. But not with the option to sync it to BPM.

This thread (started in 2010!) shows that the whole Feature Wishlist section is a joke
It's like that "Complaints and Suggestions" box in government offices, that is a slit in some door and if you'd get to walk around that door you'd see that it goes directly into a recycling bin
Oh and of course: +1
Yeah for futility....

Yup, it's sad isn't it. If only there was a way to reach the developers directly:

So because they didn't implement your favorite feature…TomViolenz wrote:This thread (started in 2010!) shows that the whole Feature Wishlist section is a joke

I'll take automation delay compensation any day over this feature. Not that I wouldn't like to see this implemented, but it may very well be that the amount of people needing warping in Sampler/Simpler are fewer than you would think. I actually know of no-one wanting it and find my self alone singing the praise of Sampler.
Make some music!
