Ability to warp audio in Simpler / Sampler

It's not about the UI as much as it's about the idea. If everybody had to include detailed schematics and UI drafts to all their feature requests i doubt that many people would bother..

yeah... I mean, the general concept and function is the important thing. I would think that the people at Ableton could probably come up with a better way to implement than the user base, and it would be a good function to have

I AM GOING TO RESIST THE URGE TO TYPE IN ALL CAPS.... I WANT THIS FEATURE MORE THEN ANYTHING ELSE IN LIVE.

We need this feature badly. I rarely browse the forums and I came here to start a thread requesting this...
Saw this thread so I'm just going to post here. For doing proper monophonic/polyphonic phrase sampling, warp markers are a must.

But then I end up arranging by doing hack cut/paste/crop jobs in the arrangement view rather then using the sampler in a musical fashion.

You sorta can't win.

If I go the route of loading multiple phrases/sections and then decide the timing is off or any other warp marker adjustment is necessary , I have to cut/warp it back in the arrange window and then consolidate it and then re-add it back into the sampler.

I really really would like this function. Even if you had to disable all the filters/lfos/pitch envelopes to allow the time stretching within the sampler, I would still die for this ability.

I'd probably give thousands of dollars + almost everything I own for the ability to warp samples in sampler/drum rack.


Please ableton, this is all I want. And I have been putting some thought into it and I don't think it would be even that hard to implement.

I never use Sampler now - always Kontakt - because of this.

And I only use Simpler for drum hits.

Seeing as 9.1 is around the corner, its time for the obligatory bump for this feature in ableton live.

Or just a timestretch parameter. How can you have a sampler that doesn't timestretch. Nor sample.

That is not a solution, at all..... for a myriad of reasons.
