Yeah... they might have to handle a few more lines of code.
But just imagine: this forum wouldn't be necessary, as nobody could complain about features that don't work ;-)

Now you're just dreaming....

But when you think the size of the team they've got coding all day every day.... Whenever i've mailed someone there i've got a response the same day and it aint office hours... They're putting in some work i believe and when you compare 8.1.3 with 8.1.5 it's lightyears ahead for max4live users!

Maybe "momentary" feature is included in 8.2 ? (I can dream ...lol)

If still not available, this is a feature suggestion... It would be *soooooooooooooo* simple to code :

Hi, Do you think such an option would be possible ?
What do you think about this new column in the MIDI assignation panel ?
Thanks

Until Ableton incorporates this feature, you can use this trick:
Momentary midimapping is possible without m4l

I thought this was already a basic part of Live, but I was shocked when I went to program a button today & it wasn't possible.

Hard to believe you can't have a midi controller button simply engage an effect as long as it's pressed down & disengage when let go as a part of Live midi mapping. Let's have this please!

I'm relatively new to Live and I was truly shocked when I discovered this could not be easily achieved. I have an APC40 and really wanted to be able to use the clip stop buttons (which I don't use) to activate a delay, each button being a different time increment. Not only that though, momentary buttons would be useful for various other things. I really hope Ableton add this soon.

Is it included in last udpates (8.2.2) ??

ici d'ailleurs, isn't it ?

have you found a personal solution for putting effects momentary (while a key is down, and FX off when key is up) ?

I want to turn a device on with a nanokontrol button. It's just a 'hold' switch now, is there any way to turn them on with a press and then turn it off by pressing again?

you have to change the buttons behavior in the nanokontrol-editor.

+1 :)

I want Ableton Live to have this. I've got a MIDI controller assigned to the on/off of an effect on a Live track, but it only works Momentary. I need Toggle. Can't change the controller's output. Ableton Live is software. IMO, the option should be in Ableton Live, in software. Maybe make it something I could right-click to get, in Midi MAP mode.
