Pre-define the length of a clip using a MIDI controller

Please please please, that would make jamming out ideas with real instruments so much easier.

Pressing button to stop recording in right moment is harder than playing actual instrument.

Wait, so one can only choose a default clip length with push, but not from ones laptop? Am I missing something?! My God. Just started using Live again after quite a few years away. How is it even possible that they still haven't implemented a global default clip length despite most people voting for this, it being an utterly basic aspect of midi clip recording in almost any clip or pattern- based recording software...This is a massive oversight, and severe creativite-flow-killer.
