BRING BACK TIME!!!!!
this thread should have been here: http://forum.ableton.com/viewtopic.php? ... 91&start=0
but this one is even bigger than the edit button IMO - we needed MORE places to see the time, not for you to take one of the few ones we had away!!!!
this is infuriating and I really can't understand why you would want to not only OMIT the ability to see the time on the transport, but actually REMOVE one of the few places we could see it
please for the love of god at least bring back what we did have, but ideally give up more as well!
why would we only ever want to only see bars and beats?? don't get this one at all...

I have gotten good at working around it, but would love to see the time view come back.

Agree, I found this to be one of my big gripes after getting up to speed on Ableton, I like how Logic has a bit fat time clock on the arrange, would be good if this was just set by default in the transport and you could remove if so desired, a lot of my productions are timed out and this helps when figuring out an arrangement.

For other film, theater, sound installations and other non-music sounds, I recommend this half-assed workaround:
Set the BPM to 60 right from the get-go, that way 1 beat = 1 second.
