I've been thinking of how i can get a reliable and giggable version of Ableton Live running that doesnt depend on a laptop, or Neko system
( not currently properly supported here in the UK and very expensive ).
It would be great to see Ableton collaborate with Muse and to bring out a Receptor based version. Obviously this would entail Ableton working with Muse to do a
port to their LINUX based Muse OS.
We could then attach a mouse/display/keyboard - or better still just a multi-touch display and be running.
A nice option would be to be able to operate TWO Muse Receptors - one for the instruments and the other Just for ABLETON.
Another possibility - would be to allow all the currently built-in Abeton instruments to run in seperate processes on the second “plugin” receptor - thus providing some isolation from the ableton “core” from its instruments.
I realise there is a very tight “fit” between the built in ableton instruments and LIVE, but the code rewrite would not be impossible ( although definitely non-trivial )
