a Sample tuner

Post by jojo191519 » Thu Jan 06, 2011 10:35 am

i enjoy tuning my drums to help the fit the key signature before i write them in as a part of the song but sometimes i get it wrong
also when im not dead sure of the note that the sample matches i export the sample as a .wav then tune it externally. i heard there are tuners available as VST's but these are more suited towards guitar tuning etc such as the one available in guitar rig. i think its about time Ableton's Audio clips should have a tuning reference such as spectrum, but to the note.

Abletons spectrum actually has a setting for this. You can put it on your audio tracks and see what frequency/note the sound is hitting. It gets the job done. In your browser just expand the spectrum folder and you will see Notes.
