This feature makes too much sense, so don't expect to see it...EVER.

You could always customise the keys on the keyboard (or your mouse/whatever if you buy a gaming-keyboard or gaming-mouse) to specific commands in ableton via third-party software.

many people are just tired solving things brainiacs did not solve and finding workarounds while many things we found amazing they change for no reason. there are softwares that do already all i need, like studio one, and it does it fast - my 10 custom 1 button commands and i'm good. maybe it is time to ask ableton: LIVE 9 WILL OR WILL NOT HAVE CUSTOM COMMANDS ? personally i could do anything with live 6, sampler, custom commands and 64bit. i don't need all that crap they added later. so LIVE 9 WILL OR WILL NOT HAVE CUSTOM COMMANDS ?

I simply want to map ALT+Mouse Wheel to ZOOM and Home key to move the VIEW AND POINTER to the Start and END key VIEW AND POINTER to the END of the selection.

Argh! Still no mouse scroll wheel zoom in Live 9! What are they thinking??? It would enhance the workflow a lot for what I am guessing is minimal effort on their part. Really frustrating. :x :x :x

It rolls and feels smooth to the touch. It massages your pointer and middle finger - at the same time. Touch pad users are mystified by it.
