external sync of slave while master is running

situation: 2 computers, one is the master the other the slave. master is running, slave is nicely snyced. suddenly slave crashes...restart...

damn...master has to stop and start again to trigger the slave via ext. sync....

is there a workaround in ableton?

ahhhh. solved it. very simple. just press "play" and THEN "ext" and ableton will sync to any master again. great feature!
