LESS MOUSE USAGE

Post by condra » Thu May 05, 2011 2:07 am

I would like to be able to use the mouse much less.

The browser is the main offender.

I agree, especially in Arrangement View.

Every browser has some short cut keys. You have to learn first then you will be familiar with keyboard. and then you will use less mouse.

@DuncanCox: "Every browser has some shortcut keys. You have to learn first..." Wrong Way!

Every other (serious) software offers the possibility to configure the keyboard shortcuts absolutely free. Every single key and every single function.

I don't have to learn - the software has got to learn!

Browser functions are most unfriendly and no real option without the mouse (especially if you use itunes).

Also every keyboard shortcut (in fact every function) should also allow the Possibility of Midi Mapping.

Seriously Cents transpose!! or make the semitone knob encoder mappable in cents steps ?

Option to Disable spacebar (how long has that been requested!)

Quantize .. yes I know its keyboard mappable which I then set to a midi button using a third party piece of software (yick!).

We should be able to go without the keyboard too !.

Apple's trackpad is a decent alternative if you don't want the mouse hanging round IMHO.
