Re: EXCLUDE CLIPS from scenes (aka "free the x-axis")
With ClyphX, it's working okay now. I can launch a scene and with the [] /stop action I prevent certain clips from getting launched.
Live's API first receives the scene launch command, and afterwards the stop command from ClyphX, never the other way around.
For now, this looks to be the best solution!
But man - oh man ... I REALLY think ClyphX should be implemented natively inside live, having menu's and buttons for it.
For me, the two of them are part of one awesome system. I wouldn't want to work without ClyphX anymore.

And how do you launch this clips later?
Deleting the ClyphX script while performing?
Your method stops the clip always again when attempt to launch...
I think this is the main feature request.
To be able to start some clips manually later in the same scene after scene launch?
EDIT:
If i use the script ONLY on playing clips for to stop OTHERS, than it will work.
But then the stop action will be too late... (like you said...)

I use a separate track for the Clyphx actions.Stefan Jantschek wrote:??Sarrova-Q wrote:With ClyphX, it's working okay now. I can launch a scene and with the [] /stop action I prevent certain clips from getting launched.

On this track I have my clips with the code (for example: [] 2-4/stop, 7/stop, 10-14/stop).
These clips have no quantization, so when I hit the scene launch button, the clips in the code stop immediately after triggering this (all before the next bar starts playing). The right clips start playing on the next bar and I can trigger the other clips when necessary as they contain no stop code.

Thanks for bringing back the topic.
After the years, I ended up developing my own system in max for live, providing me a much more flexible way to launch/stop clips and scenes.
