Made an account just for this.

Please guys. Look at FL10's midi sequencer and automation, they really nailed it. Learn from what works and makes life easier :)

THANK YOU!!!

Here's my HUGE +1 for better automation curves!

This can't be implimented for the programing matter because it should have been implimented until now if it could be. Look cubase. Same. Use the other software if you need bezier curve. Reaper can.

Curved automation is the number one thing I'd like to see in Ableton Live. It is hokey to put segments to achieve what a curve can easily do (like in Logic). +1 here!

This is why ableton live was never my main daw and why i won't buy another upgrade unless i'm forced to.

If they fix this i'll upgrade willingly. If they don't, Live will remain a second rate daw for production to me.

Just my two cents.

How can you manufacture and sell a daw without the ability to edit an automation curve? I produce mostly progressive house and without that ability i can't use live. There is just too much automation in a progressive track to manually record all of it. Please put this in Live 9.

even a better automation recording.

+1000 for the better curved automation. even a supercheap software like renoise has a really nice tool for drawing in a fast and effective way your own automation

For me, the most irritating thing is, that we have those crossfade curves only for the crossfades. Why not put them into normal automation?

yeah something like FL Studio has - exponential curves. to have them only linear make drawing filter effects sometimes a pain in the arse.
so +10000000000

and automate it from the controler and record the sinal imput makes the curve ugly and when u want to change something its hard ...

As electronic and electro-acoustic music producers We really NEED this feature to make our tracks sound smooth, I'm wondering why are there no answers from Ableton in this thread at least explaining what the issues/complications of implementing this feature are. Go public with it and we could all try to find a solution as a collective. Like the networked super-computers at MIT :)
