Browser upgrade

Post by Angstrom » Tue Feb 15, 2005 2:14 pm

Things the browser needs.
  • song audio folders have a different icon from system folders
  • sort files by date
  • roll over 'hints' on the .als files (' 150 bpm, horrible sounding ambient intro'')
  • 'filter' check boxes : 'Songs' , 'Song Audio', VSTi presets, 'all' , etc
  • more and nameable Favourite folders (is '1' my songs ... or is that my sample library ??)
  • loop preview volume slider
  • User arrangeable VST / VSTi list, including theability to hide non-used effects
  • basic VST division between Effects and Instruments
regarding the folders, I have all my tunes in categorised folders like - ambientish, lounge, triphoplofi , uptempo , dance , insane . though some of my tunes live in the root 'live songs' folder if they are unfinished.

If I look at the folder structure in Live browser it looks like a mess, with no way to filter it

I'm sure everyone else has their own browser things they want to see.

The loop preview volume slider is already there, it's the volume "knob" in the master section next to the headphones symbol.

I agree on the hints thing too, would be very helpful.
