Envelope curves like Logic Pro

From what I have seen of Logic Pro, one can create curves, not just straight lines or "steps" (depending on the grid size). For instance, with an autofilter cutoff frequency, one should have a bezier handle to change the shape of the cutoff, similar to the curve of the audio file fades.

Curves also exist in FL Studio. This seems like a basic thing.

But neither Cubase nor Samplitude has it. I don't think they thought it as useless. There seems to be technical difficulties.
