OMF conversion / import

I'm doing some Post Production with Ableton and it would be really nice to have some type of OMF conversion or import function that would maintain the clip handles inside the OMF.

+1 and AAF support (import export) would also be very useful.

I just bit the bullet and purchased this.... http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/ProConvertMac/

I had been using AV Transfer by Fairlight, but they not longer generate codes for it as they sold it to SSL a while back on the downlow. Basically I open up the OMF2 in AV Transfer then go into the play menu and output the OMF as AIFF splits. Pro-Convert is going to do the same thing. Not ideal, but a temp work around.

SSL Pro-Convert for MAC doesn't have the Audio Tools portion of the program needed to import an OMF and export AIFF or WAV files. Turns out this is only part of the PC version. Also folks at SSL know a surprisingly small amount regarding this program...they were very helpful, but still not very knowledgeable about the functions of it. Also, the install was corrupt and I was guided to the SSL website for a new install. I would avoid this product.

I've moved on to Adobe Audtion. It's opening OMF2's fine, I can seem the edits in the file and then export individual tracks as AIFF's then import into Ableton. Again not ideal, but it's working rightnow.

Starting to get more and more AAF's...guess video editors are sliding back over to AVID.

Yes, please Ableton, OMF!

I end up using Pro Tools more than I want to because I need to work with OMF's.
