64 bit

Post by jlmusik » Thu Jan 19, 2012 4:42 pm

Ableton better come out with a 64 bit version soon!!! I can't deal with the memory crashes anymore. Reason 6 runs like garbage with Live 8. NEED 64 BIT!!! I don't know how much I can take before I decide to switch to Logic or something else. :x :x :x

Yeah...

Live is AMAZING but things like 64-bit, comping, a more customisable browser, automation curves (Bézier curve) and so on, makes it loose so much potential.

The 64-bit thing is just more than necessary, if you work with lots of sampled instruments, or record lots of tracks with lots of effects you run out of memory very quick and get the error message all the time =(

+1 because it's an in controllable arm reflex now - every time I see 64 bit In a posting title, my hand immediately jerks in a complex motion that ends up with a plus one for the feature. And partly because I think ableton have lost my faith in development enough that I they may just maybe might possibly contemplate not including this in 9. Still prefer live to any other daw though.

64 bit. We NEED it. I just bought live 8. I'm going to be a bit miffed if you charge me a rediculous fee for 64bit... come on guys. Live is a great DAW! Lets keep it that way. If you cant support the daw anymore make it open source so that the community can step in and keep live going.

Seriously. All software I use is already 64bit. I have a feeling Ableton is holding it back for the Live 9 release.

^ maybe they'll go the way of the iPhone and release and Live 8S.

where S = Sixty Four Bit instead of - "Siri your anytime [partially correct] personal assistant".
