Select multiple cells in drum racks
Select multiple cells in drum racks
It would be useful to be able to select more than one cell in a drum rack, with altered parameters on devices within being replicated on selected siblings. I know there is 'copy value to siblings' but of course this affects all cells, and that's not always appropriate. Perhaps a 'copy value to selected siblings' option?

+1 Made that request a couple times myself:p
Surely if you're able to select other parts in Ableton and have all the changes reflected on everything selected, it should work everywhere in the program.

Any sign of such a feature in 9?

I guess not.
It's the little workflow improvements such as this that would really make me consider upgrading. See also - ability to select non-contiguous objects in the Arrangement view.

There is a map to siblings function, but it is hidden in options.txt

Yes, that's for mapping macros though.
What I'm talking about is being able to independently select multiple cells in a drum rack. Currently, you are only able to select one at a time. Though I can see that there would be a problem in terms of which cell's contents are displayed when more than one cell is selected.
I suppose I could 'nest' drum racks into groups via an instrument rack. That might work.
