Midi Editor Preview enabled by default

Post by syncr » Fri Jun 08, 2012 6:03 pm

I'm wondering if there has been any progress on this feature request made in 2010.

This seems like a very easy way to eliminate 'clickiness' and to take load off the user for a condition they are likely to always prefer.

Of course, this can be keymapped but again, every time midi editing is required, the load is shifted to the user. Simple usability fix...create a preference or a lock feature.

I completely agree with this. There should definitely be an option for the midi editor preview to be defaulted to on. No more clicking on the little headphones all the time!

this and the default grid size, i hate it when i create new track/clips and they default to a 1/16th grid with review off

Is there still no option for this? It would speed up my workflow like crazy if i could turn that midi editor preview permanently.

I have it key mapped (ctrl+k) to my "q" key, in my template set. Works really well, and allows me to quickly switch it on and off.

It would be nice to have more default options for newly created clips though, such as grid size and groove.
