CC Envelope "EDIT RANGE" and "VALUE NAME"

Post by miekwave » Sat Dec 01, 2012 2:16 pm

I have Hardware Midi Devices. Having the full 0-127 range makes CC envelope modulation a pain is many cases

For example.

CC#4: Change Filter
0,1,2,3,4

:::NEW FEATURE REQUEST::: Edit CC Range
CC Envelope only displays 5 discrete CC#4 values at a 5 step resolution; 0,1,2,3,4 (NOT 6-127)
:::NEW FEATURE REQUEST::: Edit VALUE NAME
If CC=x, then VALUE=y displays as "{CUSTOM VALUE NAME}"
If CC=4, then VALUE=0 displays "No Filter"
If CC=4, then VALUE=1 displays "Low Pass Filter"
If CC=4, then VALUE=2 displays "Band Pass Filter"
If CC=4, then VALUE=3 displays "High Pass Filter"
If CC=86, then VALUE=1 Displays "Multi-Effects On"
If CC=86, then VALUE=0 Displays "Multi-Effects Off"
If CC=18, then VALUE=>0 Displays "Vibrato Depth"
If CC=19, then VALUE=>0 Displays "Wah Depth"
If CC=80, then VALUE=>0 Displays "Tremolo Depth"
etc....

The way Ableton Handles Automation Envelopes needs to be overhauled...
Check out some of my soundtracks. Also Ableton Live Performance video.
