Hi Ableton!

Problem: When you mute a MIDI track with the Track Activator button, no NOTE OFF message is sent. This is very frustrating when working out new ideas, especially with a lot of hardware synthesizers.

Solution: When muting a MIDI track via the Track Activator button, a NOTE OFF message should be sent to that specific MIDI port and channel.

This is a very simple solution that would help and simplify the work for a lot of users and I really hope you will implement this in the near future.

Best regards, Conny

if you want the note to be played until end and the next one muted just add a velocity midi effect with 0 on high and low out, and map the deviceon button of this effect as the mute one. It works here for external and internal synths.
before ableton use note off it's a workaround
