I find the group launch buttons confusing when using my Launchpad with grouped tracks; I'd prefer an option to disable them, so that group tracks would show up as empty rows on the Launchpad; this would provide a visual cue that it is indeed a grouped track, and it would prevent confusion. On a simple controller like the LP, it's hard to tell if you're launching just one or several clips when group "ghost clips" look identical to ordinary clips.

Yes, its a good point. This prompted me to post a request for the ability to MIDI/Key map the group fold/unfold button actually, it's sorta related.

Actually I'd like to be able to just change the colours on group tracks, but I think you would need midi for that

I always have dummy tracks on my LP with no clips so I can use them as separators. As a workaround, consider adding some dummy clips around the group for clarification.

Good idea. I used to use a similar one, I made each group 8 tracks, adding dummy ones at the end if necessary, so the group track was always first track of each bank.

I use empty dummy tracks too, to separate banks of eight tracks, but when I use group tracks, this means that there are two tracks on my Launchpad that are just wasted space. I've never seen the value of the group play buttons; I use groups solely to organise my sets and allow for quick routing to bus tracks.
