Hi,
Maul from Fxpansion has just been released. And as its friend Etch, it's responding to midi input on multiple midi channels.
Problem: in Live you can only route midi signal to the channel 1 of any VST (or AU probably) effect, so we are loosing some useful features on these new plugs.
That was my FR, thank you!

Getting right into Etch. Craving this feature.
From what I can tell, you can't send audio to fx plugin/insert 3+4, 4+5... etc either. Hopefully this is in Live 9.
For reference, I'm trying to control the Etch envelope with the envelope follower module, which can only be triggered by 1&2 currently. i.e. the audio that the plugin insert is applied to. The module has a setting to listen to 3&4 but Ableton won't let me send to that, only 1&2 so you get an amalgamation of the insert channel audio, plus whatever you send there as well.
I am hoping 9 is the release that I can retire my other DAWs.

Re: Multiple midi inputs for FX
Still only one midi input route for inserts unfortunately (as far as I can tell).
Disappointing to say the least. It's the one of the two features I was waiting for (the other was midi note extraction from audio).
