I like how there is more replies for Live 9 retina than vst3. Good to know where your priorities lie Ableton users.

Well, since you are obviously not so busy doing stuff with your VSTs, you seem to have plenty of time trolling in threads that you are supposedly not interested in, but can't let go anyway.

First and foremost I need to be able to use my DAW for long periods of time.
If I can not even view it properly without it causing me actual physical strain on my eyes
then that surely makes it a priority...

It looks like Apple has finally ditched non-Retina MacBook Pros when the 2013 Haswell MBPs came out, and Ableton is nowhere to acknowledge that. Come on, it's about time!

Has anyone heard anything on when Ableton will finally implement retina support in Live? I mean I know Ableton is one of the worst company ever for fixing issues like this and probably THE top candidates for letting issues like this slide, but now that Apple has ditched the non retina pro Macbooks, it must be embarrassing for them even in the office, let alone across the world, to see how garbage their app looks against almost any other pro app already updated eons ago.

I had this reply on November 4th:

Hi A,

Thanks for contacting Ableton support and apologies for the late reply.

I'm afraid there isn't a specific release date for this feature, but since there has been a lot of questions regarding this from users (and employees!), this is surely something the developers are aware of.

I realize this is probably not the answer you were hoping for, but I'm afraid we cannot make any statements about developments in future versions.

If you have any other questions please do not hesitate to write back.

Chris

When referring to this case, please use the case number: (Case
ableton1040471) from the subject line.

Nope. It's software specifications you bought. It's not those sort of things that it doesn't work as claimed. If you thought it's really an issue you wouldnt have posted FW forum anyway :p

This!

I need a new laptop and now i feel like i have to decide on switching to Logic or buying a PC.. and to be honest.. I don't like PC:s for audio stuff..

It wouldn't bother me if the UI just looked crap, but if its unusable or strains your eyes while working i'm not going to work with it..
