Are you guys serious, I can't send/receive NRPNs with Ableton? Like a parameter change with a knob on a synth and that parameter is sent as NRPN?

It's now 2015...

EUCON & NRPN support are still missing from a "Professional DAW".

NRPN are supported by Sonar cakewalk, it work perfect with my alesis andromeda, send & recieve.

i use ableton as rewire slave ... it's a solution ... it's not the dream to see NRPN supported by ableton live, but it's ok ..

Thanks guys for pointing out that NRPN means Non-Registered Parameter Number and is part of the MIDI spec and why'd you need it in Live. This makes it so much easier to support this.

I'm glad there are MFL workarounds in situations like this. I can only guess that Live's original focus on moldable audio, MIDI added only later, and performance issues at that point is behind the current non-support.

i would use my alesis andromeda in ableton live, in bidirectional mode send/ recieve NRPN to record and replay live performance

that is the only piece of my homestudio i can't use directly in ableton live, i'm forced to use other software compatible with NRPN, also with rewire or bitwigstudio to synchro

i have andromeda a6, with Live 10 now supporting sysex in Max 4 Live, will we be able to control a6 parameters? im guessing if so, we'll have to wait for someone to write an A6 m4l device or is there generic device that can be mapped?

AFAIK sysex support is available also for Live 9, maybe not Ableton branded. I haven't actually tried this though, so I'm unaware on how well it works.
