Group Clip Names

It would be so awesome if it were possible to type a name into the clips of the group slots. The diagonal bars of color don't tell me enough about what is going on in those clips that are hidden in the group. If I could name the group slots, my session can be a bit better organized and easier to navigate through.

In fact, it would be awesome to name slots that don't have audio clips in them.

ableton is a mess when there are a lot of groups tracks. its all hashes. you cant tell what anything is, especially in session view.

Seems popular, don't know why it wouldn't at least be considered...
Improvements here would give users fave interface (session/arragegment,
or both - most!) a daffinite "face lift."

I've proposed this on Centercode, but it's weirdly unloved as a suggestion. L10-SUG-2302
I'd link it but Centercode links dont seem to work. Terrible system they have there.

I also provided an example graphic showing the current state, and a proposed display method requiring the removal of the crosshatching.
Note that Groups are visually differentiated by the inset colour. (normal clips have a solid colour behind the play icon)

Agreed. It should be integrated to here.

Vote here: L10-SUG-2302: group clips should be nameable by Angstrom.

Sometimes you need to run the Centercode link trough a shortener service in order for the forums to accept it as a link. For this on I just pasted the original.

Very good suggestion.

- Name Group Clips
- Solid color backround
- Choose color

Just taking the color from the first clip of the scene creates a pretty messy layout on Push/Push2.
