Would love to see a Monophonic Step Sequencer for Instruments as I think it would give a more full range of tools for the digital Musician.
My suggestion is to create a 3rd mode for instrument note mode whereby we can input notes in real time, step sequence & control loops all at the same time.
- Bottom 8x3 pads for real-time playable pads.
- Middle 8x4 Pads for step sequencing.
- Top 8x1 Pads for Loop Length Control.
I find that Polyphonic Step Sequencing is more about trial and error to get the sound you want as there is no way to preview the note before placing it like you can with Drum Rack step sequencing.
