"Copy/Paste Clip Colour" feature

Post by nonchai » Wed Jan 07, 2015 12:05 am

A lot of time often goes into labelling and colouring clips to make things more manageable in SESSION mode.

Often one wants to use a colour already assigned to some clips already and give the same colour to other clips too. maybe new ones, or ones copied from elsewhere.

Currently this has to be done manually and laboriously.

So just like word processors have a copy/past font+style feature, we need a COPY/PASTE CLIP COLOUR feature in ableton !!

why not just select all the clips you want to change and change them all at once?

because that involves opening up the colour-picker and re-selecting the right colour/hue which is awkward. Often I use several hues close to each other
and its hard to remember which one to select from the color picker.

Believe me i spend a lot of time doing colour stuff so I know how much hassle such a feature would save.
