Locking Track Armed

I bet this is something already available - if so, please let me know how - I RTFM

I would like to see an option where a track can be locked as armed so when another track is armed the previous does not become unarmed.

On the fly: control + click.

Or:

go to audio preferences and deactivate Permanent for Arm.

Thank you, chrk! I did not know about the option in Preferences.

(I did know about on the fly but the circumstance I am working under made that impractical.)
