Search function for tracks
Search function for tracks
Hey guys, something I'd really like to be included in ableton in the future is a search function within the arrangement view; so that rather than looking through tonnes of tracks trying to find the one you want to change, you can just type the name of the track.
For example, you're looking for the kick but you have 150 tracks so rather than having to scroll through all the tracks to find it, you can just type" kick" into the search. I think this would be a great help in speeding up workflow. Thanks!

I would really like this too. It would also be nice if we could search for devices, by for example simply entering "vocal eq", which would find the EQ on the vocal track.
This could perhaps be one of Live's browser panels, so you could sort devices by track number, name, favourites, or other attributes.

I found this exact thread because I also want this feature! the ability to search in your session the exact name for your tracks or devices so we can save some time scrolling!

Last post is forever ago. I would absolutely love this -- huge time saver and pain-in-the-neck reducer.

100% plus 100. i hit a point often where my bad habits catch up with me. good search has beaten bad organizational habits for me for 20 years and i'm not about to build a good habit now.
