Ableton Forum

At the moment, Ableton clears the undo history after a save. I would even go as far to say that this is a bug, and should get resolved. I almost lost work because of this (lucky I had a backup).

Perhaps a Preferences option [Save all Undo-History] and a [?] panel function that brings up all undo history on the right panel.

Since undo history consumes CPU resources, it's usually good to save Project-1.00, Project-1.01, Project -1.02, Project-1.03 ... Project-1.11_final etc in succession.

I just screwed up a project because of this. No ctrl+z after saving feels really damn unnecessary.

How about doing away with the factory content we never use, and have unlimited undo history instead?
