clips on group-tracks and automation-editing in MIDI-editor

I would like to see a better use of the group tracks in arrangement-view. The space is currently only used for automation. Why not also use it for clips? When we group some tracks the program could generate clips on the group tracks wherever there are clips in the group. These clips have a fixed position. You can chop out parts to mute the group at that point. You could also use the clips to copy all clips from the group to another part of the project. Or even copy the clip and paste it as a mixdown on a normal audiotrack. And why not make it a MIDI-clip?

Thats the second feature I want to request. It would be nice to use MIDI-clips for additional purposes. What Im thinking about is visualizing automations also in the MIDI-Editor. You could select an automatizable parameter as input for the MIDI-Editor and automate them on an grid. And why not also integrate that into the event-editor? Its controls are much more handy for excessice automation-sessions.
