Dedicated Piano roll for EACH sample in Drum Rack

Instead of having each sample on a the entire piano roll only for one given space on the midi editor piano roll, each sample should have it's OWN dedicated piano roll, so that samples can be quickly and easily pitched up and down when making a pattern.

This video explains this perfectly https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bVc9D0E ... be&t=1m50s

I KNOW some would say "just automate your hi hat or sample at the pitches you want, but this makes for easier editing of any of your samples, on the fly. Ableton is already very powerful, adding this ability to pitch up and down your samples within a drum rack on the fly will breathe new life into one shot chord samples, snare and tom rolls, and altering samples without having to dedicate samples to a separate midi track!

I would like to see fold/unfold buttons for each note on a Drum Rack track. Or maybe the velocity field could have a piano roll view. I like how it currently works, but easier pitch editing would be great!

So theoretically, I could use this device in a drum rack, loading all of my samples into a given instance of this multiclip editor?

How does this device work with Push 2 (if at all?) Any info you have on this would be very helpful. I'm away from my main computer right now.

In any event, this is VERY interesting, and I hope Ableton adopts this functionality into it's workflow. Thanks for letting me know about this.

A big part of using Live is using the Push 2, so I'm back to praying Ableton includes the ability to have dedicated piano rolls for each sample in a drum rack.

Thanks for letting me know about this though! :D

The MultiClip Editor is very much compatible with the Push 2 and will update the screen whenever the overdub button is switched off following recording into a clip...

With the drumrack question, you'd be able to record into the individual clips and then select each of them to edit them as one piano roll...

Apologies for taking your comment out context :) There seems to be some confusion about what I was asking as well, so I'll try to do a better job of explaining myself.

For example, when you put a lone sample put into a midi clip, on Push 2, you can affect the pitch of that sample through the hardware, as a piano roll shows up on the Push.In other words, the controller looks like this https://i.ytimg.com/vi/Rz-qvrCfnP4/maxresdefault.jpg

This doesn't happen when a sample is put into the drum rack. That sample is instead given a spot on the piano roll in the midi editor, and on Push, the sample is given a pad

My question is, in regard to using your product with Push 2, visually from the hardware, when you have a sample that IS in the drum rack, can that sample also have the ability to be pitched up and down from the hardware as in the first photo? Or can you only manipulate the pitch of the sample in the multiclip editor?

The MulitClip Editor works on reading clips and within it you can then change elements with the mouse... Sooo sadly no you wouldn't be able to manipulate the pitch with the Push...

The best idea i have discovered is to add the same sample sound and then transpose it down in the drum rack so you have the normal version and the transposed sounding one
