Flat notes in Midi Editor?

Post by eddiejag » Tue Apr 11, 2017 11:01 pm

I know this is probably an old topic. But PLEASE Ableton, can you make an easy little switch or button that changes all the black keys from "sharps" to "flats"? So instead of displaying A# display Bb? I'm sure it would not be difficult, but it would make for the life of those who use the midi editor much easier. For a G, Bb, D chord I have to think G, A#, D. Add inversions, ninths, b7 anything more complicated and it because a nightmare. All you would need is a little switch, show all as #, show all as b, or show both A#/Bb for those working in chromatic keys.

That being said, does the community currently have a workaround for this? I imagine not as it is totally a visual thing related to the GUI. I don't imagine those things can be changed.

Cheers,
Eddie

It certainly is odd considering Push scales are flat.
Make some music!

Exactly, scales are all denoted in flats, and the notes in midi editor are all sharps. I must be the only one this drives crazy... :?

I already requested this, however I'd like to see sharp notes on Push instead. That's just personal preference
