So…? You don't state what it is you want now from Ableton Live 9, not 6! The best way to ask for improvements is to use the bug report format and answer the questions:

• 1. What you're doing, or would like to be able to do, and
• 2. What results you'd expect from these actions.
• 3. What happens now when you attempt these actions, or the alternative actions if the former aren't possible to carry out today.

Anyway, while I'd agree it's somewhat odd how difficult some parameters are to get to in Arrangement, the envelopes are there and are active. So I have no idea how you mean bringing up a discussion from eight years ago.
