Licence not elligible

Post by badeend » Mon Oct 16, 2017 6:24 pm

Hi,

I have a question i would like to have answered since i can not find the solution on internet.
First however i would like to say that it really pisses me off to read this on this forum:
UHE is now closed - please head to http://ableton.com/answers for help from other users.
For Technical Support from Ableton, please go here: http://www.ableton.com/support
Especially when i go to this website and it says my licence is not elligible for support.
It's pretty shitty that you won't let people help each other in order to extract more cash...

Anyways, i'm trying to connect my e-drum kit to ableton. I have a midi to usb converter and as far as i can tell it works.
Ableton recognisez it, i'm able to select mackiecontrol input (usb cable) on the midi inputs but i do not receive any sound.
I've read a lot of forum posts about this but it seams that it should work. No one explains anything else about this part.
SO is it possible i have driver issues or do i need to check some settings?

Plz help, thanks a lot!

You either need to use the received midi signal to trigger sounds from a source (a vst, or an external sampler for example), or route the audio from your e-drum kit (if any) to Live.

Btw, you're talking about 2 really different things in your thread, and I don't think your topic's title is the most appropriate if you want people to help you.
