Pinning a MIDI clip visible in the Live 10 MIDI editor

Post by Nokatus » Sat Nov 04, 2017 12:03 pm

As I wrote elsewhere: it seems you have to keep every MIDI clip selected you wish to show in the editor, at all times. A simple way to "pin" a clip so that, once selected, it will stay visible in the editor until unpinned, would remedy a great deal of unnecessary selection management when editing multiple MIDI parts in relation to one another.

The ability to show multiple MIDI clips in the editor is extremely useful for composing workflows, but the way the clips lose visibility if you do anything that deselects them, having to redo the selection every time, doesn't quite do the feature justice imo.

Unfortunately, I'm not. Noticed this in a couple of feature walkthrough videos (first in the one Tom Cosm posted). Caught my eye how it would be a wearisome part of the multi-edit composing workflow in the long run.

Maybe someone who sympathises, and is in the beta, can post this over there?
