lock tracks on Live 10?
can this be done in Live 10, or there's still no way to do this?
by locking tracks I mean that clips cannot be moved or edited on a selected track when this feature is switched on.
I need to know this, if it doesn't have this feature I won't be upgrading this time.

Dude, I think you could do the same thing by doing a "save as" . ???
best,
best,

hoo-boy, would "LOCK" ever be a welcome feature.
from what i can see, even freezing a track won't protect you from inadvertently moving its clips (usually, after you've really broken significant sweat positioning them exactly the way you want).
i hereby add my own personal "big bump!" on this one.
just as a serving suggestion, it might be nice if it worked either by locking the clips themselves withinin a track (so that you could still add new clips to a track without changing any that are locked), but also offer the option to lock all of a track's clips relative to the set's start point ("global 1.1.1.") so that nothing in the entire track can move anywhere.

Re: lock tracks on Live 10?
One reason Live lacks things like these is that they are another failure point for live performance. At least you could view it that way. I must admit that I never have issues with inadvertently moving clips. I do not miss this feature at all. But to avoid overwriting stuff, I do use exclusive arming.
Re: lock tracks on Live 10?
point taken about the performance liability aspect. i guess that when considering one's feature expectations it's always worth bearing in mind that LIVE has an active... well, "LIVE-style," and that it gets out a lot.

Re: lock tracks on Live 10?
looking for locking tracks too... ie i have mixer midi program changes for sends in a column that should move along other cells
so i'm thinking of copying the full track, making changes and pasting it back.... just a thought if that helps
peace

You can save tracks to your user library if you’re worried about overwriting them.
