In the scenario where Push is used in conjunction with mouse/keyboard, it quickly becomes obvious that the display on Push:
- acknowledges that a certain device has been selected by showing the initial page of parameters for that device
- does not attempt to follow the mouse when parameters outside the initial range are selected/edited
At least with the Live 10 update, at least EQ Eight breaks this rule: if you select a specific band on the EQ, Push reacts and immediately gives you control over the parameters for that specific EQ band.
Could this be extended to other devices?
I understand that with many devices this may not make sense, as the division of parameters into pages may sometimes be arbitrary.
However, there are also quite a few devices where the paging is nearly as obvious as in EQ Eight.
Operator comes to mind as a clear candidate where this may be easy to do (switch between oscillators/envelopes A/B/C/D).
At first glance, Wavetable may be quite conducive for this approach too.
In my opinion, this would make the combined Push+computer workflow a lot more seamless.
Anyone sharing this sentiment?
