Freedom of speech mean I can let you know someone else already have posted in another thread what you repeat. It's not about you not getting someone saying you're wrong either.

You need to look up proprietary. An open standard is not proprietary.

As VST 2 also is, this point is somewhat moot and I don't think the lack of VST 3 support is because of this. The reasons for this lack have been discussed elsewhere for years in these Ableton forums as well as in other place3s.
