So I have a pretty powerful computer, so the vast majority of the time am well within my CPU limits. However in some scenarios when I have a lot going on, or if I want to significantly reduce my latency, I start to approach the limit.
In a larger scale project, it would be really great to have a tool of some kind which is able to analyze resource usage across a project and tell me which areas, could be as vague as just per track / channel, are using the most.
This would be really useful to quickly figure out which tracks I should freeze, or look at disabling VSTs inside.
What do people think?

+1. Would be good to see those CPU hogs (aside from the obvious ones).

I just had the same idea, good to see it put forward here. (CPU usage per track for example).
