Workflow Improvement:
Idea 1:
When selecting or copying a clip in sessions view, after you have pressed the Tap Button to get into Arrangment View, automatically
paste the copied clip when pressing ctrl v into the same track as it was copied from if no track is selected, if there is already a clip in the track, automatically put it after the last clip and translate launch settings into Loops, if the clip is triggered 4 times, automatically make the clip have the length of 4 loops.
Idea 2:
When dragging a clip, multiple clips or a whole scene from sessions view into arrangement view, have the clips be glued to the tracks they where dragged away from, while holding alt and while still dragging.

Re: Workflow Improvement: Copying, Pasting, Dragging Clips from Sessions into Arrangement View
For "Idea 1": Right-click a selected Clip or time selection, pick "Consolidate Time to New Scene" it will copy everything to a new Scene in Session, even in multiple tracks, all Clips in the respective tracks, and you don't even need to switch to Session.
The buttons to change between Session and Arrangement View are not called "Tap Button", as Live has an actual "Tap button" in the top left (for "Tap Tempo").
(Also, maybe you don't know about the "tab" key? Way faster than using mouse.)
"Idea 2": Alt+drag is already taken. Maybe Shift+drag.

Sorry I meant to write "Tab" Button not Tap Button. If you copy a clip in session, switch to Arrangement View with the Tab Button, then hit ctrl+v to paste, the midi clip is not pasted in the track that it came from, which I would guess is what one usually wants to do 90% of the time.pottering wrote: ↑Sun Mar 03, 2019 1:00 amFor "Idea 1": Right-click a selected Clip or time selection, pick "Consolidate Time to New Scene" it will copy everything to a new Scene in Session, even in multiple tracks, all Clips in the respective tracks, and you don't even need to switch to Session.

what does alt+drag do? cmd+drag disables the grid, but I think alt+drag is not when in

Ah, I'm on Windows, on Windows it is Alt+drag that disables the grid.
