Playhead (transport bar) disappeared ableton live 10

Hello,

I noticed that in Ableton Live 10 thePlayhead (transport bar) disappeared when stop playing.

It's maybe a nice option for some people, but I would like to see the option to turn it On and Off in setting.

What do you think?

Are you using a Live 9 skin in Live 10?

I use the default Mid Light "Skin"
I tried Live 9 Skin but the transport bar still disapper when stoped.

I asked the support team of Ableton,
here what they answerd me :

" This is how the transport bar is implemented in live 10 but you can always request to change it

You mean the actual transport at the top of the Live window just vanishes?

Not seeing that happen on my end at all in Live 10. Not sure that would be useful to anyone, you need access to it even when stopped.

I mean the transport bar who are in the main window Clip Drop Device Area.

I just realized that if I clic on the Clip overview Zooming hotspot (under transport button), the Transpot bar reappears,
but in random place!
Actually it the place I clic on the Clip overview Zooming hotspot

If I press Space Bar the transport bar appears as usual and play from the insert marker as expected.

Ah, yes that makes more sense as I was under the impression (and possibly others) that you meant the Transport buttons (controls) in the transport bar.... You mean the "Playhead"

Yes, no idea why this was removed but I have personally noticed this as of L10 too and it would be nice to still have it display, maybe blink so as not to be confused with a location marker. I submitted a suggestion to the Nether anyway.

The Playhead sorry, some Ableton staff wrote about transport bar.

I will post a suggestion at the Centercode.

It very hard to edit movie without knowing where is the Playhead for exemple.

The transport always start from the last clicked point (except when using the "continue playing" shortcut), and this is represented by the white/black fading line that we can see in your video.
But it's nice to post a suggestion if you feel like it could be improved/changed.

Ok it's nice that we know where the Playhead start but I would like to know where it stopped also.

For editing movie for exemple I listen to the clip and would like to be able to ajust a video a the place I stopped.

It was fixed in a recent beta.
You can join the beta program here, or wait for the upcoming Live 10.1.2
