But let us keep this thread alive, not to loose hope! To me, it is obvious that this is currently the most important piece missing in this otherwise great DAW!
Ableton live support for ARA 2
Re: ARA 2 support
Re: ARA 2 support
+1 ARA 2, Vocal Comping, integrated pitch correction and MPE support as well.
Re: Ableton live support for ARA 2
I just can't believe they skipped adding it again in 11. Comping is terrific! But c'mon...
Re: Ableton live support for ARA 2
Definitely upvote for ARA2, Melodyne without is no fun!
Re: Ableton live support for ARA 2
This is definitely a must have. Comping AND ARA2 support and things will be perfect (BTW, New Protools update coming out today includes Melodyne now within PT...So Basically Live is the only remaining daw that doesn't supports ARA yet...well...)
Re: Ableton live support for ARA 2
Included melodyne is awesome.

Hopefully this is one of the features Ableton is saying isn't ready yet which might mean it will be a minor release for v11. Implementing comping, I think Ableton gets the point that people want to edit vocals and recorded audio tracks better and Melodyne really helps here and kind of makes it where they don't have to focus on developing these tools in house which would be alot of work.

Re: Ableton live support for ARA 2
Let us hope, but ARA2, is kind of a major thing, though. I really hope it isn't planned instead as something to implement in the next major release, to get people to update. I do think, that would be kind of a gamble, as 3 or so more years without it, could mean that people start looking elsewhere. I do hope they do something similar to the Chord-track of Studio One, when they do implement it, as that would be brilliant feature in a DAW, that many like for how they can start with a sketch to build a full song, then being able to mess with the key of the song or change chords on samples quickly, could potentially speed up the process (even if at the end, some of it might be re-recorded to the new key/chord, once the sketching part of the song is done).jlgrimes wrote: ↑Sun Nov 22, 2020 5:54 pmHopefully this is one of the features Ableton is saying isn't ready yet which might mean it will be a minor release for v11. On my wishlist, would be some kind of Comp grid functionality, so a ableton controller could be used to switch takes, and jump on the timeline, possibly with scaleable timeline resolution to be able to go in to the really fine details.
Re: ARA 2 support
Any mention of this for 11?
Didn't see anything so wishful thinking I suppose...

Re: ARA 2 support
+1000 and for the same reasons than everybody else. Comping rulz but we need all the vocal editing tools (ARA2, or a native good pitch and alignment vocal tool like both Melodyne and Vocalign...you have the choice, Ableton ! )
Re: ARA 2 support
I desperately need this too. Now I have to go back and forth between Ableton and Reaper.
Biomechanical Pop by Unzyme. We use Live on stage and in the studio.
