Sticky Notes

This has probably been mentioned before but I would love to have the ability to add sticky notes into the UI. Similar to excel where you can add a sticky note into a field and mouse over for the contents - when I'm listening to my work, I think of things fast but don't feel like grabbing a pen or typing them outside of Ableton and trying to reference the position of where the note would go. Just the ability to jam a quick idea into a specific time or location would be awesome.
For example: in session view and I recorded a clip - would be great to add a sticky or 2 or 3 into the clip field to note what I thought of the clip recording. Same in arrangement view - drop velocity here--increase bass here. Etc.

Well, it's not exactly sticky notes or tool tips, but you can select "Edit info text" for most items and you can enter it and see it where the help shows up in the bottom left.

I have a problem with this.
I know it's not the end of the world, but it's a functionality I would find really useful..
Problem is, after entering text in the box and clicking outside so the text remains, it does not get saved with the project.
So either I am missing something, or it just does now work?
If it does not work, does anyone know of an alternative solution?
I end up making notes on bits of paper which tend to get lost or what-not..
thx

It's saved for me. Use it all the time. Though I would appreciate not having to eyeball all the way down left to see it.

Yes, there are a few aspects to the GUI that are slightly frustrating.
One of my particular bugbears is having to resize the clip window all the time.
So I am at a loss to see how my text is not saving.
I think I'll a browse around and see if I can find a plugin just for notes...
(Actually, I could just use a text editor. Would be nice to have one in the program though : ]
