A wishlist with a voting and progress function

Post by WilmarBoer » Thu Jul 22, 2021 1:45 pm

Hi people at Ableton. It would be very nice if you can add voting and 'in production' label options and information to this wishlist. Other software developers have this. It's very nice if you can interact with your users that way. For us user it would give an opportunity to help you prioritize.
Please?

You can vote for feature wishes and suggestions on the centercode forums we use for beta testing:

I've long thought that - while the customer vote for features is valuable there's a stronger need for vision within the company.
I think ticking off user upvoted features isn't the best way to create a satisfying new product.

Imagine asking Marvel movie viewers what they want from the franchise. What should be in the next movie. It would be dominated by average consensus tropes.
Nobody asked for Taiki Waititi but he delivered the most satisfying evolution, would that have come from design by vote?

Apocryphal story:

Henry Ford once said, 'If I'd ask customers what they wanted, they would've told me a faster horse. '

That said, the user vote has a place, but only as an indicator not as a prescription
