Feature Request: Tempo accuracy beyond two decimal places

Post by tristanperich » Mon Sep 06, 2021 2:59 pm

I regularly need tempo accuracy beyond the two decimal places afforded by Live's interface. I understand keeping the interface simple, but it would be helpful to be able to manually enter a more accurate tempo.

Right now the only way to fake this is to add an array of micro tempo adjustments to the Master track to average out to the intended tempo.

(Even changing the value in the XML of the session does not allow overriding it.)

It already goes to 5 or 6 decimal places.

Many (if not all) number boxes in Live go to lower decimal places than visually shown (usually only 2 shown).

You have to type the numbers (like 120.0001)

Just curious. What do you need such accuracy for?
