Absolutely... Ableton would nail it too. Vocoding is a simple principle but harder to do well, due to the many nuances and desires of vocoder outcomes. As far as hardware goes, i dont much like the Novation Supernova style, but love the far out possibilities as displayed by the preset vocoders on the Nord G2. In terms of software, the Orange vocoder is rubbish, so is the one in Reason... Vokator is the goods.
Be good to have one in Ableton... im sure they could do it well because im still impressed with the Filter device!!!

that's probably because it's not what vocoders are supposed to do - OTOH if you send a synth and a vocal line into a vocoder,,,milfbait wrote:I'd love a good vocoder in Live, all of the plug in vocoders I tried sounded like shit and didn't allow me to control it realtime with midi notes.
This one, unlike most vocoder plugins, already has the synth built in:

there's also a free version that works quite well.
mbp 2.66, osx 10.6.8, 8GB ram.
Thanks for that link, Vokko sounds great!!Machinate wrote:milfbait wrote:

Do you know if the full version allows loading of wave files, or is it only soundfonts?
