Can we really still not zoom with mouse wheel?

I think this is longest request thread for a basic feature on any DAW in the history of DAWs–fascinating as it is annoying...ok definitely more annoying than fascinating.

I would love it if Live just KEPT the level of (vertical) zoom I set from first midi track throughout a project. Or, just set the default to something usable. Repetitive crap
like this is what kills vibes for me. Almost as much as stopping what I'm doing to look up a key command that doesn't exist for something basic and repetitive

Live 10 ... announced, but I did not see this on the list of new features.

Yes, scrollwheel zoom is in Live 10.

It is now possible to zoom vertically and horizontally in the Arrangement View, using two-finger trackpad gestures or a mousewheel. Pressing "ALT" (Mac/Win) while scrolling vertically zooms the amplitude/pitch axis of the selected track(s). Pressing "CMD" (Mac) / "CTRL" (Win) while scrolling vertically zooms the timeline to the cursor position.

I will pay the update fee just for this!

Actually, it would seem this is one of the few new features Ableton could put in Live 9.7.x as well.

THE MOUSE INTEGRATION IN ABELTON IS GARBAGE

You should be ashamed of yourself... not having a mouse capability to zoom.

This is an unforgivably bad design omission. Whoever is responsible for the failure of mouse zoom capability to be in Abelton 9 needs to be fired.

Yeah but do we need to wait for Live 11 now to be able to adjust knobs with the scroll wheel ?
It's noticable the user interface is based around Apple behaviour...

I pray for this, mousewheel control of sliders and knobs, wtf is going on that that is not implemented yet?
It's intuitive to want to control them with the mousewheel and it would make the workflow so much more natural and quick.
