FR: Grouping for VST FX device chains too.

Why not add grouping for VST plugs also? When the device chain feature was announced, I though it would work with all plugs, not just Live's native plugs.

There is actually an easy work around for this. You just record a midi clip (could be just one note). Then you drag the clip to a specific folder in the Live Browser. Recalling that clip in another Liveset will bring all VST'S attach to it! That way you can build a nice collection of presets for your favorite VSTI.

I really thought that grouping would be possible with vst and au plugins (It was one of the many new things that sounded quality about live 5).Its a great idea by ableton and I hope they update the feature to support all plugin combinations.
Until then I will use the workaround (Thanks Urbem I didnt know any workaround before reading your post, that is gonna make a big difference )

guys, this is more than a workaround, it's friggin brilliant - I use it to sort presets, save long sequences+plugin settings+fx - good stuff. I went bananas when I found out how well it worked for reaktor and phatmatik...
