Strange and sort of frustrating how much attention some of these other more esoteric requests are getting compared to this. It's SO fundamental and such an EASY fix for Ableton!!

I'd like to keep this thread on the upper part of the list, because I begin to feel the awkward restrictions of Live's current Midi Editor layout. I have found myself repeatedly searching for the correct position, looking for bars and such. This is especially difficult on a high resolution display with small pixel pitch like my 23" one or a 30" one.

Soooooooo needed, and somewhat changing the time up there to a musical and less mathematical way would e great. Like being able to see half notes, quarter notes (not 1.1.1.1.1.1.1... you get the idea) etc...

anyway's I've dreaming of this... in my dreams a lot, lol

Just add those elements to the skin and let everyone deal with it their how they see fit. Shouldn't take a day to sort out from a development stand point. Could even fit into a 7.x update without breaking anything.
